Shift knobs?

Any short shifter that really shortens the throw will require more effort than the OEM unit--that's just plain 'ol principles of mechanical advantage. The shifter only contributes to the extent that it's centering/positioning springs might be more or less stiff than another--that may be what you were experiencing. I personally like strong centering springs, particularly with a transmission like the Tremec 3650 which is not a very precise shifting tranny to begin with...

Since you already got the MGW why not get their gripper shifter with either the running pony or GT logo in your choice of chrome or machined metal

The bullitt **** PWNS the lot.
One other thing, I see a lot of "billet" metal ***** and I worry about them being out in the sun and heating up. Should I go with a plastic type ****?
Thanks guys for all your replys!

Don't like the way the "Gripper" or their composite **** looks! T-handle and pistol grip don't feel right to me either! Some sort of ball or variation of it is what I'm looking for! Maybe a classic 5 speed Hurst ball in black or do you think white would be better if it is in the sun?
Hmmmm....I'll check it out! Any vendor in particular that I should look for it at?

I personally love the MGW gripper shifter- have it on a MGW myself. Tons better than the stock, fills your hand out better, and the allen wrench adjustable on the side that you can lock it to the threads with is great- that sucker wont come off for anything no matter how hard you twist.
i have an mgw shifter with the steeda ****
i bought the mgw gripper handle and didn't like the feeling. i went back to the stock handle and didn't like how it was really smooth. i bought the steeda **** with the rubber around it and it's exactly what i was looking for. i'd recommend it

Hurst white 8-ball style shifter ****. I think it was like $30 or something.

The only thing I don't like is it's kind of "Pro-Street" but I think the shape will be good for shifting although the ball will fill my hand better so I'm kind of torn between the two!
