You will need a 5/8"fuel line disconnect tool - $5 at an autoparts store

It may be different on my car because it's a return system, but the fuel lines were two different sizes. I don't remember what sizes, I can tell you it was the blue one and the white one!

instead of letting the fuel pump run there is what looks like a valve stem cap on the front of the passenger side fuel rail, take the cap off and cover it with a rag while pushing down the nipple, this will deplete the pressure in the fuel sytstem, or just leave the gas cap off for 30 minutes, whatever works, also make sure all the o-rings are still on the injectors

Id say go with turning the fuel pump off and letting it run out but yea like they said just get a fuel-line dicsonnect and that should be it. It should be a fairly fast and easy job, good luck.

Can't help with the fuel rail install but here is a little blurb on killing the fuel pressure.

Bulletin: Discontinued fuel pressure relief valve (Schrader Valve)
2003 Mustang equipped 3.8 and 4.6 2V/4V built after Sept. 15 will no longer have the fuel pressure relief valve (Schrader Valve).

New Service procedure for relieving fuel pressure:
1. Remove the fuel pump relay or fuse in the engine compartment fuse box, refer to chart listed in this TSB for fuse location.
2. Start the engine and allow idling until the engine stalls.
3. After the engine stalls, crank the engine for about five seconds to ensure that the fuel injection supply manifold pressure has been released.
4. When fuel system service is complete, install fuel pump relay or fuse.
5. Cycle key and wait three seconds to re-pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks before starting engine.
Note: It may take more than one key cycle to re-pressurize the fuel system.
6. Start engine and check for leaks.
Note: It is possible that a DTC may be set due to the pump relay being pulled and the engine started and run out of fuel. If DTC’s are set, clear all DTC’s before returning the vehicle to the customer.

what kind of fuel rails did you go with? you should be able to buy an adapter and put the valve there.
