Default Used wrong plugs. Fuel not completely igniting.... Recomendations??

I read that it is best to always use the stock plugs when it comes to spark plugs. Well guess something is different with my car. I used the kind that my car came with stock aaaannd.... Its not runnin too well. It doesnt hold RPMs after 4000 or so and it backfires. Dont exactly mind that because it sorta sounds like it lopes from having bigger cams. But anyways. The plus I had before were some dual prong Bosches with which I never had that problem. So I'm guessing that the spark plugs aren't giving off a big enough spark or they are too cold and dont ignite all the way causing it to ignite in the exhaust. Could someone point me to the best plugs to use. My modifications are as stated below.... Thanks

Is the heat range of the plug right for your car?

I would go with Bosch or NGK plugs.

Ihad to get a really cold plug for my car because of my NX, and I gapped them differently. But i think I normally gap mine at .054
