Default coolant issues

the coolant reservoir on my 96 gt overflowed with the cap still on tight. im guessing too much pressure? the coolant has been leaking a bit at the radiator too. im figuring the thermostat is blown , which sucks cause the heat doesnt work so i freeze my **** off in the morning. any feedback or advice? thanks a lot.

Get a new thermostat and keep an eye on the radiator and coolant level until its time to buy a new one. LOL If I were you I would give it a good flush also.

yeah i replaced the thermostat a half hour ago, i got heat again! everything seems alright, but im sure that leak off the radiator is still there. ill definetly be flushing the coolant along with replacing the water pump and other junk before that stuff goes.

Make sure you are using coolant because that also lubs the water pump. If you dont then you can break the propeller shaft. Ive been there and done that. LOL
