So I just did what the instructions said that came with them: disconnect negative terminal of battery, (took out my old ones), then put the new ones in, then reconnected battery, and started it up. And sure enough the light went away, without even having to clear my codes! I thought since the computer saves codes until cleared even though the problems fixed it would come on. But I guess not. So badass. Thats what I get for following instructions

A number of faults are held as "pending" before they become stored in non-volatile memory--this means that the fault has not been observed for long enough for the PCM to be convinced it's real. Most all code readers will let you view these pending codes...

If the MIL eliminators do their job it shouldn't--pending codes for non-critical and/or potential problems are stored in the KAM memory and if the situation corrects itself the are cleared after a while. The fact that resetting the KAM by disconnecting the battery cleared the code means that the code it had not yet been "latched" into the non-volatile RAM. If the new MIL eliminators are indeedworking correctly the light probably would have gone out after you drove awhile, even without disconnecting the battery.Often afailing but not yet dead O2 sensor will sometimes trigger the SES lamp, then go away for a bit, and then come back... until the sensor actually dies.
