I could really care less what you do I just wanted to let you know it would be easier to use a 5.0. If you want to use a chevy it's going to take a lot of custom work. Not something someone here is just going to be able to tell you how. Your going to need custom motor mounts, exhaust, and your going to have to do something with the trans. Not sure what though. I realize you already have a chevy engine laying around but for the money I would either go after another 4.6 or go with a 5.0.
I agree.....custom workneeded...along with more money than a 5.0 swap..wether you have the engine or not....so many options with the lil 5.0.(or 408 W)[sm=smiley20.gif]

I didn't say don't do it. I said it's going to be a lot of custom work, and a lot of money. Either way it's your money, do as you please.

A wise man once said... "A Mustang with an LS1 isn't a Mustang, it's a Camaro with a really nice body kit.

Chevy engines don't belong in Mustangs. Too much work for what you get.

Yeah, but they have put chevy engines in older fords for years. An Ls 1/2 in a mustang would be cool & give other mustang & chevy owners fits whne you show them your tail lights on a regular basis. Just today, I saw a wrecked Z06 on a rollback & was thinking Hmmmm---Besides, Ford- Chevy- Chrysler, you name the brand is not even loyal to their own corporate logo. Eg. Chevy sells rebaged toyotas as Chevys, Ford plunks their name on Mazdas, you get the picture. Hell, back in the day, AMC used to use engines, trannys, rears, starters from Every other car manufacturer in their models.

Hmmm
4v 5.4 (330) GT500 powerplant would be a better setup. You're a moron for thinking this or even posing the idea here...
