If you must....and I do understand(kinda).....Racin chevys all my life..but had a ford here and there...
...,,,,,,I stillcannot go that route...Now a SBF ,,great horsepower parts fairly inexpensive......anyways ,,not sure on the 5spd part but have a friend or 2 who at some point went this route but used a glide or a turbo 400with a big vertor and brake...BBC in one...Good luck

Not something someone here is just going to be able to tell you how. Your going to need custom motor mounts, exhaust, and your going to have to do something with the trans. Not sure what though. I realize you already have a chevy engine laying around but for the money I would either go after another 4.6 or go with a 5.0.

A wise man once said... "A Mustang with an LS1 isn't a Mustang, it's a Camaro with a really nice body kit.
Chevy engines don't belong in Mustangs. Too much work for what you get.
