why the hell are people bashing this guy?? i say do it. it is cheaper in the long run imo. i searched some stuff on google and didnt come up with a lot. are you doing FI or carb? if ur doing carb im guessing the swap should be relatively easy. get the motor mounts custom put into the car, probably a new tranny support, and a custom driveshaft and call it a day. ive always wanted to find a ls1 or something along those lines. it would be sweet as ****. plus we are a mustang forum. we are here to help out the guy who likes his Ford Mustang, not to tell him to shy away from a project. im sure all of us have owned something other than a ford and no one here has given them **** about it.

Ls1 motors aren't cheaper to mod ask any camaro guy..Hel your exhaust setup is probably $300 to $400 cheaper

odds are the custom exhaust piping is going to be cheaper than a pre fabbed one for an ls2. plus lets say your 3v mod motor burns up a piston. how much money is it gonna be to fix that? lets say a sb chevy with a piston .30-.40 over burns up? im betting the chevy piston is gonna be about 300-400 cheaper to replace

I'm totally anti chevy and cringe at the idea of a chevy motor in a mustang, but that being said it is your car so you do what you want to do, i think what alot of people are saying though is that its going to be easier to just stick with a ford motor because of all of the required customiztion that would be needed to make it work.
