Default SCT Problem Again

Yesterday I made a thread and it was helpful. But im still clueless where I'm supposed to plug the thing into. I will upload pics again if needed. I understand its at the passenger side kick-panel, but do I need to take stuff out besides just the kick panel? Btw, this is for a 99 cobra so it's the SVT tuner.

I am more than willing to help. First, you have a chip, not a tuner.

You have to remove the plastic cover in the passenger kick panel which covers the computer. You will need to lift up on the bottom door sil, remove the single circular plug that is on the cover, then pull the cover off. Once the cover is off, you will the processor shoved in there, covered by wires. You can disconnect the harnesses to make it easier but there is a single small bolt holding the computer in there. Remove that then pull the computer down and the chip plugs into the top of the processor. You need to clean the contacts off and possibly remove a cover to access where the chip goes.

This is why it is much easier to flash a vehicle if it can be flashed.

This should help too:

ok, back to the dilema, lol. I figured out how to plug everything in and such, but now the car wont recognize it. Like my speedo is calibrated for 4.56 gears and the car has 4.10's in it. I tried to re-tune it and the speedo still doesn't work right. Yes, the **** is set to the same number as I'm trying to burn to, but it still wont recognize it. What should I do? Any possible solutions?

What do you mean by won't recognize it?

It sounds like you just aren't changing the right parameter if the speedometer is off. You have to change the axle ratio value and the axle ratio switch in the software.
