Default Starter

I did my tranny swap last weekend and everything was great until about two days ago. My starter stays engaged once my car is running. Does anyone know if I looked over a spacer or have an idea what I could have screwed up??

how many miles on starter?

my first guess is the selinoid is sticking, and its time for a new starter. I dont think it would of been anything with the trans swap.

It's got 80k on the clock, I mentioned the tranny swap because before I swap transmissions it was fine.

Could have been you jarring it around caused it to cease prematurely? Tap it with a mallet if you can. I mean really whack it 5 or 6 times. Prob. should have sprayed dome lithium grease in there before you put it back. I have one that cam off a 53kmi Cobra I'll sell you for like $50 shipped

Check your wiring to the starter and make sure they are not loose or really close togather. If they are close, when you hit a bump or even the gas, they may bounce around and touch causing the starter to kick over. Then go along with everything else above.
