Default Water methanol injection

I have an 02 Mustang GT with a procharger and built motor etc, I want to get a little more power out of her and water methanol injection is cheap. My question is does it really work the company says "71RWHP" and I was woundering how true this is and if anybody has seen the results on their own car. And anyone ever use the Mr. Freeze injection? Its $100 cheaper than Snow.
Thanks,
Mike

I've seen a procharged 4.6 with meth and it wasn't impressive. The tuner said the intercooler was doing a really good job keeping the intake temps in the low 100s and that was the reason. With 24 degrees of timing it only picked up 10 rwhp with the meth. This was a D-1 @ 19 lbs of boost so you would think it would really produce some heat.

i have seen some nice gains with meth, but the only issue with meth is that if you lose fluid pressure or somehow a line comes off your engine will go pop because of the lean mixture! if you decide to get meth, get the safe injection kit from snowperformance.com

Watch out for that. Nanki had his for less than a year and it broke twice. I think it was the bracket that broke, then a leak; or something like that. The Meth kits work well from what I hear. But you're right, if you loose the meth that the engine was tuned to run with, you're done! I guess you could get it and just keep an eye on the performance of it. Those gains for what the price is isn't bad at all.

Mine gained 49 hp with the set-up but as stated above, get the safe kit from Snow Performance, good luck.

Just FYI... its not going to gain anything if you don't have a retune done. If your intake temps are currently high and/or your not running much timing due to detonation its going to help. If its not... its not going to do much of anything.

Meth FTW!
Like 2000GT4.6 said, it must be tuned for it, or gain will be minimal (if any)
