Default got water in engine. :(

so ya....looks like im gonna be walkin to work for a while[&o]turns out i did get water in my engine. mechanic said possible f****d valve. needs to rip it apart. so.....what should i do to a P.I. swapped sn95 while she's got her skirt off? thinkin cams. dont know whats best to go with. any ideas are appreciated!

Cams would be a good move while it's apart. I don't think I'd let someone work on my motor though that thinks a bent valve would have anything to do with water in the motor. Your valves have absolutely nothing to do with the cooling system. Water in the motor is either a blown head gasket or cracked head or block.

Still if you hydolocked it it would have done nothing to the valves. It would have bent a rod. When water gets into the combustion chamber it will not compress like air does and puts to much stress on the rod and bends it. The valves are fully closed during the compression stroke and would not have been harmed. You more than likely need a new shortblock.

Only time valves get bent is when they come in contact with the pistonlike when thetiming is off

well if you are looking at the pi swap, I would recomend the pi intake at least and then cams if you want to. I did the intake swap and it is night and day past 4500

This kinda scares me

I just got a jlt cai and I was lookin at where the filter was, and it sure seems like rain could get up there...

um... is this something I MYSELF should be worried about? I have a bbk cold air and I dont like how its just chilling around my fender. Did you go through a huge puddle, or was this just a freak accident or what?
