RE: whats the point of batt relocation?
IDK...most people put them in the rear of the car. I guess it makes it easier to work on the motor with added room. My cars not fast enough to worry about it.

its mostly for weight distribuation. balance out the car or for drag races to put more weight over the back tires. i think its a waste of time u can balance your car with the amount of gas you have
1 gallon=7 lbs

it has a purpose if you're going after that last shred of performance. puts ~50 lbs over the rear tires and helps with traction and weight transfer at the strip. you'd have to be a good consistent driver to realize any time improvements.

30 pounds of battery weight put over the rear tire is better then in the front, weight distribution plays a big part in racing, most of your ferrari's are balanced. mustangs are nose heavy big time

I know the racers put their batteries in the trunk for weight distribution, but we guys don't need to spend the money for all the mods to do that for a very few pounds of weight distribution unless we are seriously into racing. If you want more weight in the trunk, hey, just put a few bricks or sand bags in the trunk.
