To H Pipe or to X pipe, that is the question.
Okay I just put flowmaster 40's on my stang the other night and the guy that helped me said he put X pipes on his late 80's stang and I was curious, besides the obvious difference in shape, is there just an advantage of flow going with X vs H? Which is better and whatare you guys running? Thanks.

the search button must be broken [>:]
x flows better, sounds raspier and louder at high rpm, little more hp than an h (2 or 3 hp...nothing to cry about)
h is louder down low, different sound.
just go to youtube and listen to exhaust clips

I just got an off road H put on my car to complement the catback and it definitely amplified my catback for sure... its louder throughout the range, but for some reason it screams really loud at 2500-3100 rpm. I've never been in a car or known for sure that I've heard an X pipe in person, but I know I like the H I have. I dunno if its just cuz its off road, but it sounds sweet. H is supposed to be deeper throughout, X a little "raspier". So I've read.

I had a H on my car, took it off and put an X on it... I love it.
