um, porting and polishing make even more sence with a power adder but thats not to say that its not a good idea on a stock or low mod. car. its all about the air flow. i'll take as much as i can get.

6-8 psi is the norm for a stock gt(internally) i'd imagine with the cobra it would be somewhere around 10 psi of boost

Um wrong, 10lbs of boost is totaly safe and the average hp w/ mods (mild cams and such) is around 400rwhp. If I'm not mistaken some combras have a compression of 10:1-10.5:1 so your tune needs to be dead on with those. Either way your still limited to about 425rwhp with stock internals.

A turbo would be expensive and difficult to install. It might be in your best interrest to put a centrifugal supercharger one there (like the one pictured above). The work like a turbo, only with a belt; not the exhaust. Check out the "Pipes, Boost and Juice" section to learn about that stuff.

Hope that clearifies some things.

i said stock engine you better check again to be stock its around 6-8 psi of boost...the weakest link in the 4.6 is the connecting rods which tend to break around 450hp so a safe conservetive tune would call for 6-8 psi....on cobras they have better internals and heads so 10 psi would be safe
