wont start

Default wont start

well okay heres my problem the car wont start. now the starter is good i got it tested and it all check out when i turn the key it does nothing but a click from the computer i think if i bridge the starter with a wrench it starts the wires going to the starter look fine i was curious if there was a fuse or quite possibly the ignition i have no clue i need some insight thanks

Yeah that click is a relay. You may want to unplug your battery for 20 minutes and then try again. Sounds like the either factory alarm or PATS is stopping you, but usually PATS will let your car turn over, so I bet it's your factory alarm or a fuse under the hood.

ive tried unplugging the battery i was thinking possibly the clutch safety switch which i noticed its a grey box but only has 1 plug into it but has room for a plug next door i was thinking about just bypassing the clutch safety switch all together btw would u know by chance which fuse could be doing this? thanks for your time

how would i turn off the factory alarm/PATS and also anyone has a clue by which fuse this would be??

I just hada similarproblem. I got one click and nothing else, but everything else in the car worked. It ended up being a loose ground wire. Thereare twoground wires, onethat goes from the k member and one from the engine wire harnessthat go tothe engine block, near the oil filter (they're both on the same stud). If I remember correctlythey are actuallyattached to the motor mount stud. Check to make sure the nut that holds the two wires on is tight.

+1 its not the PATS. You either have a bad engine ground or more than likely you have a bad starter ground. Check that all nuts on the starter are tight (the ones that hold the wires)

ill check the ground straps today and get back thanks for the ideas good chance i didnt hook 1 up because i just put the motor in
