I am an idiot....
yesterday as i was working on my car y polishing my intake plenum and my throtle body with out taking them off, so i stuff a rag in there and i forgot all about that rag when i was done so put everything back togetherand started the car up again, i heard my engine shaking like never before so i shut the car off. I take the throtle body & the intake plenum off and look inside my manifold with a mirror and then tryd to get my hand in there and pulled out small little fibers of cotton from the rag, so i think i f##kd my heads up already, do you guys think it might be more than just my heads ?

RE: I am an idiot....
i think it did because i stick my hand all the way in thru the manifold and i dont feel the rag in there so im gona take the manifold off today and if i dont see it there then i think that it more than likely that it will be in the heads...

LMAO. sorry dude, it's just funny. I know not to you, but it is if you think about it. Much of a pain in the *** and an inconvenience, but it happened. Yes pulling the manifold off is the proper way to do it and then take it from there. I'm so glad I'm not you...lol j/k Hopefully it's an easy fix and a slap on the wrist. If it's not simple and it's bad, then slap me on the wrists for insulting you.[8D]

RE: I am an idiot....
My uncle left a rag in the distributor hole of my cousins car one time when we were rebuilding it. Or rather, he put the rag in and apparently it got pushed far enough that it wasn't easily visible (always leave rags so you can see them), and he wasn't there when the engine was put back together, so it got left in there. I still to this day don't know how the distributor managed to fit in with a rag in the way, but it did. Had to pull that engine right back apart again.

RE: I am an idiot....
my guess is if you didnt run it that long and just idled it when you started her up is shes stuck in a runner/intake port, starving that cylinder for air. I sucked a moth down a small 2.3 litre engine which causes it to shake/run rough for a few minutes but once it burned it up all was well.
