Default Exhaust Help Please

Hi, I am new to changing out exhausts, i was looking to buy the BBK shorty headers as a small invest however i read that with them i will need to purchase a mid pipe, i thought that they would bolt right on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Longtubes would be nice, but you have to pull the motor to install then which is a pain in the ****. If your car isnt really modded alot I would just go for a o/r h-pipe for now and spend your money on something else like gears. But thats just my .02

thanks, i live in PA and due to emmisions i dont think i can use the long pipes(i thought that you need to get aftermarket midpipes) with aftermarket midpipes then that could mess with my catilitic converter. Im looking more for a nice sound than the best power gains...would medium headers do the trick?

Hey just curious where you found the information on long tube headers not passing PA emission tests? I was thinking about getting them for my mustang but I don't want to pay that much money and fail the tests!! Not sure if there is a website where I can find this info but I do know PA is tough!!

~thanks~

I agree with everyone here. For the amount of work that it is needed to install the shorties and the amount of hp they give, it's not worth it. I bought the flows and o/r h-pipe and it sounds really good. Buy gears. They will wake your car up a bit.
