There are a few guys on here that have done the swap and are very happy with it. The block is the same so you don't need new motor mounts, unless they are damaged then you'll need some new ones. The trans will mount up fine, but if I were you, I would get a set of nice ported and polished heads and a set of stage 1 cams. I'd say stage 2 but I dont know when we start to run into valve to piston contact with the NPI motors. With a good tune, and full bolt ons, you can really make some good hp numbers. Thats just my opinion.[&:]

Yeah man, if you can afford the 4v swap, do it! The PI swap is nice, but it just doensn't breathe like the 4v's do.

You would need the 4v engine, wiring harness, and cobra ECU. Everything else you can reuse, motor mount positions are the same etc. If you can find a good deal on a 4v engine it really is worth it- a 4v with bolt ons will make as much power as a 2v with H/C

You can get ur gt ecu tuned, you will ned the IMRCs deleted in the 4v motor, gt t45 will work, you will need a new flywheel and clutch, correct throttle cable and wiring, car looks good btw, but cobra motor swap comes before cobra badges.

unless you get an 03-04 cobra block....your limit is still around 450 rwhp before you start breaking rods and/or pistons.

in which case a lot of us2V guys with built motors and blower/juicewould still be spankin you

no matter what you do...if you want big numbers, you gotta start digging in the motor....so just try and find the cheapest route.....my .02

its a hell of alot cheaper to do a 4v swap then do a motor build.......my swap cost me about 3 grand from scratch to driving on the road
