I have a set of custom grind cams in my H-D Sportster that were supplied by the same company that did the P&P (Zippers Performance) and they make better power than the other off the shelf, mix and match, set up's.

get stage II H/Cs, get both, they work great in conjunction, at least thats what I am doing this winter. Dont know brand or if custom grind or what not yet, but I do know I am not getting comp stage IIs, MMR says you need notched pistons for valve clearance

You don't need notched pistons for any stage 2 cams if they are installed properly...MMR just wants to scare you and sell you more stuff.

Bigger isnt always better people. Smarter is better. Go with stage 1's unless you're getting new heads. Well shoot might as well get stage 3 cams right!?

Im runnin VT stage 2s on stock heads and the car is streetable as ever. Granted I do have full boltons plus 4.10 gears. I dont drive the car everyday, but I easily could if I wanted to. Id go with Stage 2s and if you ever decide to do heads in the future you re already good to go on the cams...
