Your X sounded deeper? I've never heard an X sound deeper than an H. It's probably because you have LTs now so they are louder.
LikeI said, you're an ***.
LOL, where did that come from?? And sorry AJ, I'm going to have to agree with the others on this one. I've heard all the x pipes are more deep in sound than the H pipes. Something about they flow more air, right? That would make sense.
I think I hurt the poor kids feelings. Oh well.

I dunno, I've never heard an X that I'd say was deeper than an H, and according to nanaki that means it must be true (really, you give me too much credit man, but thanks). X pipes are less restricted, which makes them sound louder, but they just seem to get really loud. I've never heard an X pipe that had the nice low deep rumble, but then again, an H pipe doesn't have it like a Prochamber either. Then again, I'm so used to my 97's prochamber, I may be giving H pipes more credit than they deserve too.

What really matters is the mufflers. You'll never get a deep sound with straight throughs, but with the wrong chambered mufflers and they will sound like crap.

Well now I wouldn't think that that's so crazy of an idea. I don't really like the sound of O/R X pipes as much. They just sound obnoxious to me. My Cobra has an O/R X and I'm trying to see if it will wear on me, but it's just so freaking loud, even with a chambered muffler. I'm not a huge fan of the sound of catted X pipes either, but I have the cats for it, so I might see how it sounds. The mac CB should be able to recover the sound if it's catted. I'd really like to get a prochamber and maybe some stingers. We'll have to see. I'll wait until next summer at least.

Damnit, I've always read that the H pipes give more a old school deeper sound while the X gives a more racecar sound.[:@]

Either is better than the stock midpipe.

Oh, and....
