When I first got them I did not notice a difference either...it took me about 2 days for some reason.

With out a doubt. If you can't feel the difference between stock 3.27 and 4.10s your tires will let you know the difference.

the 4.10 is weak up top, its all about 0-60
I dont think that is true at all, 4th and 5th pull a hell of alot harder with 4.10's....

the problem is that 1st is short and you need to hit it just right.

BTW everybody is dissapointed witht he 4.10 when they first get them, drive it for a week, then you'll see... and for some giggles drive a stock GT, there is no comparision
Who in the hell buys a 4.10 for the pull in 4th and 5th? Your gonna get pulled on all day by a driver w/ the exact same mods but a smaller gear on the highway. It takes longer for 4.10s to reach top speed then other gears.

Huh? The lower (higher numeric ratio) rear-end gears will cause the car to accelerate faster in every gear, as it increases the amount of torque delivered to the wheels--you just won't be able to accelerate for as long in each gear (I.e the engine will rev up faster because you are acclerating faster), and you'll have to change gears sooner. As for top speed, any 4.6L n/a Mustang ever made will run out of horsepower long before it runs out of gear (it would takea 4.88 rear-end to run out of gear)--and as the lower gears allow the engine to run faster (in any gear), in 5ththe enginebe closer to peak HP rpm at any speed; which will gain 5-10 mph top end.It takes around 170 HP to push a new-edge GT to 140 mph, 188 HP for 145 mph, 207 for 150, and 227 for 155 (see HP vs. Speed calculator here). With a stock GT, a Tremec 3650, and 3.27 gearsthe engine'sturning about 4 grand at top speed (142 or so--at 4k rpm it'sonly making about 170 HP; so the horsepower runs out). With 4.10s the engine will running at 4800 rpm at 142 mph, which put's it's output up into the 220 HP range--220 HP will getthings rollingto 152+...Here's my Speed-in-gear calculator, I've tweaked the math so that it tracks my '03 GT with 3.73's very closely...

I was a little disappointed in my 3.73's at first, thinking to myself wow I should have got a steeper gear. After a few weeks of getting used to the gears I love them. You will notice the difference after you get used to them, trust me.
