I was wondering what it would take to reach 300 horses? I have a 2000 gt auto and no mods. For starters i was thinking exhaust, tuner, cai, and any other suggestions. Or am i going in the direction

im assuming that you mean 300 rwhp right?
you need first is to install CAI, throttle body 75mm, full exhuast (LT,mid pipe and catback), UDP, an hand tuner, and gears ( 3.73 if you are a DD) and the most important is cams and heads work, and from what i heard to reach 300 rwhp you need to go with stage 2 ( cams and heads)
also since you are an auto i recommand you to get a tranny cooler and a transgo shift kit

he is probably talking about the power at the flywheel. Thats what i normally refer to when i talk about power. Ok jim, You are trying to make 40 more horsepower. Let's first explain what an engine is. An engine is a giant AIR PUMP. It must take in air easily and expel air just as easy. With the factory setup, it does OK taking in air, and is merely adequate. How to make more power is to make the engine intake, and exhaust more, air more efficiently. In order to do this you need to upgrade to a CAI and a 75 mm throttle body. These are just bolt on items. For the exhaust you should go with Long Tube headers, an off road x-pipe and a good flowing catback like SLP. Grab a set of non piggyback style underdrive pullies, and get yourself a good dyno tune. This should put you around 300 hp at the crank, if i am not mistaken. Please, others chime in.

right now im looking fo the bolt ons cuz i dont have a lot of cash....Should i go with the 3:73's since its my dd and could you guys give me some recomendations on all the stuff, like the brand. This guys has this full bassani exhaust that i think im gonna buy but other than that i need some help on what brands i should by on the other stuff. Also, what price am i lookn for on all these things?

he's about right with the heads and cam work.... Im at 290rwhp right now with stage 2 heads+cams and I still have more "bolt ons" that I could do...
