Default exhaust

im looking at getting a mac o/r h pipe to go along with my lm2s, does any one know if its leagal in san antonio texas or do i have to have cats

Yes it will have to have cats in Texas to pass inspection. I live in north texas and have an uncatted h-pipe so i have trouble getting it inspected... but its possible.

Yea i think its pretty much required in texas to have cuts! Just get the new h and keep the old one and swap it out right before you get it checked! Simple job! Takes about a hour if you've never done it before!

i lived in dallas till i was 20. i had no problems finding a place to pass me for 50 bucks in my old car.

just find some crappy looking place that doesnt have many customers and go in there. if they look under your car and say they cant pass you because of cats then ask them if 50 bucks would make a difference or do they have thatstrong ofmorals towards your cars exhaust. never been terribly difficult for me to get inspected might take a couple shops but youll find one that will do it.

worst comes to worst just throw the stock pipe on for inspection then swap back again.

it end up working out, im good friends with my mechanic and i asked him if he checks if there are cats for state inspections and he told me not on my car. lol so i guess im good to go, by the way does anyone have a clip of lm2s and a mac o/r h pipe

dude believe me i looked there for months cant find a dam thing. all i could find was the slp catted x pipe the o/r x pipe and the pypes x pipe nothing els with the lm2s if someone knows anything or has any soundclips i would greatly appricate it.
