ORIGINAL: Ehmark

The 96-98 b series heads flow GREAT they have a very high peak flow. Butlack down low. At .500 lift B series flow 231Cfm 99-01 heads flow 225 cfm at the same lift and 03-04 cobra heads flow 233 at that lift.
That's what the IMRCs are for

Ford DID do their research on this one, believe it or not, guys.

The heads are a great idea. If you're getting a built short block... + 4v heads... an EASY 600-700 hp could be coming your way with some boost

They'll be fine, you will notice a huge difference over ANY 2v head. If you can find the b heads cheap, just do it... you'll be glad you did.

Provided they're in good condition, it's a great deal. Don't forget about exhaust manifolds/headers and a throttle cable (which will be the tough one to find).

alrighty gotta get some real facts in here.. first of all, 96-98 4v heads flow basically just as well as 99-04 4v heads, they all flow within only about 20+/- cfm of each other. IMRCs don't do much at all, the torque loss with getting deletes is veryy minimal, too small of a change to even feel. as for the swap, i think it'd just turn out to be expensive cause you always end up having to buy odds and ends **** for something like that

so you recommend what?... i have also found a complete motor for a pretty good price, the imrc delete is not a big deal correct? (it seems simple enough)... the only thing is this, i am not going to use the short block of a cobra motor if i buy one, im just buying a pre-assembled short block and swapping all of this 4v stuff on to that
