Exhaust: what's legal and what's not?
I just bought MAC LT headers for my 97 GT. I am upgrading the entire exhaust and I am looking for a deep rumble as opposed to the high, raspy sound. I'm thinking catted Prochambers and an SLP LM II catback.
First:will that sound the way I want it to? I'm all about low end power and sound, so as long as it is nice and deep on the low end and doesn't get a high pitch on top I'll be happy
Second: Will my car throw a code with the LT's and those other two pieces? I would at the very least like to be able to pass the plug in inspection. I'll try to work it so he doesn't look under my car

Alabama = everythings legal.
Alabama = everythings legal.
youll need some mil eliminators to use an OR mid pipe. listen to exhaust clips, if you want deep low end sound i suggest an h pipe. x sounds quieter down low and raspier up high. youtube will have damn near any exhaust combo you can get

as long as everything can connect to what it does on the stock system you should be good. you may have to buy extensions for some of the sensors but i am not sure about that

I thought that the Prochamber IS an H pipe, just modded for better flow. Am I mistaken and it is, in fact, a type of X pipe?
Also, if not the Prochamber, which midpipe should I get? The deep rumble is what I'm looking for and I've been told the LM II catback is good for it, but I don't know about the midpipe. Any suggestions? Oh, and the idle sound doesn't really matter to me so long as the sound is always deep and never raspy or high pitched.
