3Power Steering Bolts Down
As some of you have predicted, teh power steering pump/pulley has been a douche bag.
I have 3 of the 4? done.
The last one is behind the line and the nut that feeds the line into the pump.
I assume that has to be removed? But I can't use a wrench cause the pulley is in the way.
Did you all use a small crescant wrench?

You need to pull the pulley off.
You need to pull the pulley off.
No you don't. I can see that.
The bolts were/are all behind the pulley. Once the pump is undone, the pulley and the pump should both move out of the way, giving me access to the final timing chain cover bolt.
What the heck is a wratcheting combination wrench?

RE: 3Power Steering Bolts Down
Alright. I spent probably an hour last night laying under my car fighting those bolts.
I started celebrating when I got the 3rd one off, which was a pain, but the last one has even more in store
for me.
Did you use the wrench on the power steering pump bolt itself? Or to remove the line that is in the way, and then just a socket on the last bolt itself?

Its a 10mm bolt right? Just get under there with an open end wrench and turn it out. As the bolt backs out, the weight of the pump will pull the pump downgiving you room to keep turning the bolt. It took me about 10 min. You don't need to remove the pulley. I've done it twice this way.

RE: 3Power Steering Bolts Down
I know I don't have to remove the pulley.
It's just that I have been working w/o a metric set of wrenches. But yea, the bolts are 10mm as far as I recall, and like I said, I got 3 of them relatively easy. The last one just has me stuck cause I obviously don't have the best set of tools on hand.
