Default cobra brake upgrade

We had a discussion on this before, but i cant remember. All you need to do is buy cobra calipers, and cobra rotors, and they bolt up to the GT front end? I think the GT brakes suck, and i need something better.

The only items in the kit I bought were calibers, pads, rotors, brake lines, and crush washers. I bought them here. There weren't any brackets. The brackets were already a part of the caliper.

P.S. You have to have 17" wheels.

oh, lol. I was just going to buy the calipers and rotors from advanced auto parts. I work there and get a discount. So if i bought the calipers and rotors for a 2001 cobra, they should fit my GT? ill prob. have to find some brackets, i dont think the replacements come with them.

I'm not sure but I think that the bracket is alway a part of the caliper. Replacement calipers look the same to me.

the caliper will not always come with the bracket, the bracket shoud be with a caliper that says semi-loaded.that is an item that you will not fine at advance auto parts as i have a part time job there.
FYI. the rear pads calipers and hoses are the same for the GT and cobra, just need to track down a bracket and get the rotor.

You might need new banjo bolts and brake lines. I'm not 100% positive on that, but I'm pretty sure. Call one of the distributers and ask them, they should be able to help.
