Default Which Lowering springs? HELP! 02 GT Vert

Hey all,
I am trying to find some decent lowering springs for my car but ive heard good and bad things about all of them. Heres my dilemma....

I have 18x9" wheels w/ 265/40zr18 in front. And 18x10.5" wheels with 285/35/zr18 in back.Theres almost 4 inches of space between the top of my tires and the wheel well and I think it looks stupid. I heard the eibach sportlines dont really lower the car as much as they claim on the website. is this true?

I dont want the car to be slammed on the ground but I think id like a bit more than the 1.5 inches that eibach offers. Any recommendations? The car is an 02 GT Convertible

Thanks

get ebay springs, thats what I got, 2" drop front and rear. They were 100 bux shipped to my door, does the same as all other lowering springs. Youll also need CC plates, and bumpsteer kit. I rolled my fenders as well, but was unnecessary.

Are you talking about the ones for $65 + $35 shipping, that you can get in different colors? Im all about trying to save money but are they really any good? They said they fit coupes and convertibles....If theyre the same spring for both, then why does Eibach have 2 different models?

Anyone else have input on these springs?

all i can say is you get what you pay for!!! You buy cheap springs you can expect to have harsh ride, poor turning response. But I have the Steeda Sport Spring they claim they are the Best all around springs, Racing, Draging, Daily Driver! I love mine!!!

my springs actually ride smoother than my buddies 03 with H&R lowering springs, so looks like I got good quality and a nice drop. All lowering springs will hinder drag performance, period. When you lower the vehicle, you have to stiffen up the spring rate to accomodate the lowered height. When you do that, you loose effective weight transfer, therefor less traction at the track. You wanna lower your vehicle and still have drag performance, get coil overs. Alot of people knock ebay stuff, and some of there stuff is crap, and some is not, mine springs are fine for what they are, lowering springs.

And yes, they are the ones that are like 65+35 for shipping.

Search on ebay for "K-sport" springs..I couldn't be happier with mine. 2" drop (every claimedinch of it) and a decent ride to boot.
