Default Mach 1 4v in a GT???

Anyone ever swap a Mach 1 4V in a GT???? What all would have to be changed?? I was thinking about buying a Mach one crate motor and swapping it out. Either that or selling my 02 vert and picking up a 03-04 mach 1.

I don't know what all it takes, but I did see one at the track the other night. I thought it was a Mach until I noticed it was a vert. Had the shakerhood, mach wheels, everything!Talked to the guy and all he really said was that it was a simple swap.

I have alot of time do it. I dont drive the car every day. Its my weekend car. but if it is only about 6-7000 to do a swap. I could go that. That would be cheaper then buying a new car. Plus it would be a 4v convertible.

Dude this is what you need to do.

Put the Mach one motor in your vert and get mach one wheels and make your car a total mach one replica vert. Shaker hood, painted spoiler, the whole deal. That would be sweet imo.

im not big on fake cars. if you want to badge something mach1 then buy a mach 1. its still always going to be a GT. i would keep it a GT and make it a mean sleeper. and if your going to go through the trouble of 4v swapping (especially 6-7 grand for such a meager HP boost) i would go all the way and get it forged or get a 03/04 cobra engine already forged. cuz thats a LOT of money for like 70 more fwhp.

He's got a point^^^^

Check into 03/04 SVT motors. You maybe able to get one for a little more with a stock supercharger and everything.
