what can i expect out of a 5.4L?
well im going to have the oppertunity to get a free 5.4L 2v engine. im wondering if its worth my time to bore it 0.030 over and go with somthing around 11:1 compression and put that in my car. since its a 2v i know itll be a easy swap. anyone got any idea what HP/TQ ill be looking at?

A lot of Tq and bad gas milage... You should be around the same as a 4.6 in HP with a stock 5.4 except higher in Tq. The heads still suck. And if you want to change the intake you have to buy the addapter plates. Not worth it too me. 11:1 CR should make you see the most gains in HP/Tq. Good luck, at least it's not the same old same old.

the swap is not as easy as you think, I just helped my friend do one 2 weeks ago. You have seriuos low end torque thats about it. my 4.6 still bust his a$$.the adapters to use your intake are crap . I would just assume build the 4.6 but to each there own.

Is the 5.4 stock? If so, of course you're going to hand him his ***....does he even have any suspension mods to handle this new low end torque? You can't just swap to a 5.4 and expect it to be a rocket ship. You have to be reasonable with the whole thing.
