Salvage title? Mechanical problems? Body damage? Stolen? Theft recovery? Well look into it & if one of these thigs is the problem you can put some money into it then sell it for a profit. Or sell it for parts.

dont waste your time or money sounds to good to be true i bought my 96 GT for 1,600 bucks yes sixteen hundred its competetion harley hugger orange convertable 103,456 miles on it since i've had it i put cobra lowering springs pro 5.0 short shifter new exhaust superchip with an sct tune and new tires what im trying to say is that if its family or someone uve known for a long time then thats different but its ur buddies buddy and u dont know him something is wrong witht the car think with your head and dont think that your gunna just fix it because hes probably selling it becuase he doesnt have the money to fix whats wrong with it so be smart...pick up a fox body for 3000 thats in good shape and if something goes wrong with it thier dime a dozen and cheap and easy to fix
