moving the 30 pound battery to the back right of your trunk ads 60 pounds over the axle.

only thing i could see it for is if you go to the track like stated. or you need space for s/c overflow box

yeah they are something like 45 front 55 back but it really isnt worth it unless you go to the track alot or under hood space problems. its not going to help a ton with weight distribution but it will help your hookups a little bit if your on streets and have problems getting traction.

remember if you do it and you have a normal battery you gotta get a sealed box, you dont want your car filling up with battery acid fumes. if you got a dry cell battery you can have that thing in the center console itwont matter. but most of the sealed battery boxes are about 200 bucks i think (theres cheap ones but they arent sealed).

according to summit i clicked on the red blue and yellow tops and they all say they are leak proof so they can be mounted anywhere in any position in the vehicle so u shouldnt have to worry.

got to be careful if you run at a track that is strict. nhra rules state you need a metal cutoff switch on the rear of the car when the battery is relocated to the trunk.
