How much was his bonus? I would get cams, port and polist the heads and throw bigger SS valves in it. If you do the uninstall and reinstall your self then your looking at about $1000. If a shop does it then probably $3000+. With cams, P&P and bigger valves you would be looking at close to 80-100 hp and its a whole lot safer than a shot of NOS because our engines will only hold a 125-150 shot safely.

SVT88,
Before he does anything with a 4.6 w/ 100k on it, he should have a leak down test done. When I started my modifying I had 87k on my 98 cobra. The leak down rate was an average of 65-70% on the cylinders! I was losing a TON of power.
You strap a super-charger or Nos on that car and that will probably bring him back to or slightly above original spec! You may be better off doing the whole short block, forged pistons and rods, etc... thing, then the super-charger/Nos.
My leak down test (last year) cost around $250. Worth every penny.

It's basically how much air your cylinders are holding/leaking.
THink about it this way. If you're at 70%, that means you've lost 30% of your capacity. If a blower adds 40% more air, you're only 10% more than stock!
