Clutch?

Clutch?
[align=left]Just interested in what clutch I should run. I need to replace it. Not to many mods. 373's x pipe no cats / mufflers and cold air intake. I heard about center force dual friction but is this to grabby for street application? Also how do I tell if my car has a tr3650 trans?

RE: Clutch?
you can tell what trans you have by looking in the door jam there will be a letter code on their. i think the trans code for that is k. i have an 04 GT with spec stage two clutch and it's not too bad. grabs nice, not too hard for a daily driver but you can definitly tell its aftermarket. the only complaint is it slips a little bit on hard shifts. iprobably would have gone a different route if i could have.

That kinda explains itself...
I went with a centerforce dual friction and mine is a DD. Not too hard on the pedal or the grab.. I say go for it, go ahead and spend the extra cash and do it right the first time... You dont want to have to do it again.

RE: Clutch?
If your not going to do anything else to the car get either a spec stage 2 or king cobra from FRPP.
Unless your just making too much power for it this clutch should not be slipping....

RE: Clutch?
I'm going to guess you have an '03 from your name. If it is an '03 then you have the 3650. And if that's the case, you can't use a King Cobra. As far as I know it's not made for that trans. I would go with the Centerforce. It's strong but easy enough for a daily driver.

RE: Clutch?
Centerforce, Ram and Spec clutches are popular for the 3650. A lot of people have complained about Spec's clutches but I haven't had an issue with mine. I did however get a FRPP throw-out bearing as the one Spec gives you in the kit is crap.
