I own a prochager and it should put u really close to the 400 range. I don't know a lot about the vortech but I'm extreamly happy with my procharger.

I would go pro!

I bought the Procharger. The price difference between the two is basically the cost of the intercooler that comes with the Procharger. Intercoolers become necessary if you ever intend to run more that 8 lbs of boost. They are nice to have below that. Others have pointed out the advantages of an intercooler. The Procharger intercooler is great. I have heard negative comments about the Vortech intercooler.

My tuner said that on a completely stock motor you can expect about 350 rwhp with the 8 lb pully(Mustang Dyno). I'm running 385 rwhp (Mustang Dyno), but for some reason it's getting 8.9 lbs of boost at 6,000 rpms. While the 75mm TB/Plenum doesn't help much N/A, it is reported to give 18 rwhp to a S/C motor. I also think that the electric water pump helped--maybe 10 rwhp. Since my car is a daily driver I asked for a conservative tune. My current tune is a little rich because it was going a little lean at 6,000 rpm. I think I may be maxing out the MAF. The reason I pointed out the Mustang Dyno is that some say itrecords lower hp than the Dynojet.

I know you can reach your goal with the Procharger. I suspect you can do the same with the Vortech.

i have a 03 mustang gt and i have the 4.10 gears andflowmaster exhaust and ifi buy a procharger kit with 8 psi pulley how much actual horsepower does someone think ill have at the wheels? im thinking about getting one and was told 8 psi offers some real pep in terms of power and so forth. and the stock engine can handle it. thank you

If you buy one go 10psi... you'll be sick after spending that much money and only making 75 more horsepower on 6psi

Four years and almost 50K with my vortech and it is still going strong.

I like Procharger too, just not the P1SC. Show me one P1SC breaking 550 rwhp on a a 2v 4.6l without nitrous. There have been a few break 600 with a S-Trim.

that wasnt my argument, my argument is that they intake air charge temps were hotter with a procharger than with a vortech, thus the reason why they all come with intercoolers. and by the way, the oil will stay cooler in the vortech unit rather than the procharger.

if thats true then why do prochargers have to have intercoolers.....
intercooler are for air, not for oil

I don't understand the comment. I think the Saleen comes with a 6 lb pully but the Procharger doesn't. The stage II Procharger P1SC withthe basic8 lbs pulley will take the car from 220 rwhp to 350 rwhp with everything else stock. With the standard 8-lbs pulley you can get a 3-year warranty.

Around 350 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno, maybe a little more on a Dynojet. The stock engine can handle it only with a good tune and good gas. It really does add a lot of pep, especially over 4000 rpm. I have stock gears. IfI go WOT in firstat 25 mph the tires break loose and I hit red line going nowhere fast. I've learned to easeup on the throttle a bit. General consensusseems to bethat most do not like 4.10s with a supercharger. Some do though.

Good advice guys. Keep it coming.

and if i may add something..... I hear constantly that the Vortech kit from MPH is awesome... Does anyone have anything negative to say about it?

And i think it was quicktime that mentioned using a canned tune that came with the MPH kit.... Do you really think that would be safe over paying extra to get it dyno tuned?
