Default mustang cali edition

My friend just got a new gt cali special addition. and i asked him what the difference was and he told me that it was basically the same thing as the shelby except for the supercharger... i kinda doubted what he said because the car only cost him like 20 000 used. Is this true or is it bs?

That would make it a5.4 DOHC n/a....doubt it. The california special is just a gt with a body kit

Its bs, the shelby has a 5.4 litre 4 valve motor, the car he has is a glorified GT, 4.6 litre 3 valve.

California special is just a regular GT with a body kit and maybe 10 hp over stock i think. My friend had one for a while and then the rear axle snapped in half on the freeway[] So needless to say he took it back and said keep it.

Decal package on sides, scoop is a little different I believe?, rocker panels are different, and rims are chromed 5 spokes I believe. No biggie, just appearance mods as mentioned above.
