Hey Guys..I've been posting here a while about My Cobra not being street legal in CA due to it failling Smog[:@].

Here are the numbers...
HC
Measured 23ppm
Max Allowed 26ppm
Avg in CA 7ppm

CO ( in %)
Measured 0.01
Max Allowed 0.46
Avg in CA 0.03

NO (This is where I fail smog)
Measured 1085
Max Allowed 711
Avg in CA 50

Also... tech put "modified" on visual inspection the first time and failed me the second time even though I had not changed a thing...

Here are the mods...
Bassani X Pipe (with 2 cats, 180 T-Stat and a tune from the prevoius owner)

So how do I pass? I was thinking about getting some Magnaflow High Flow Cats that are CARB legal. I really want to avoid getting rid of my X pipe...that and I cant find anyone selling their stock H-pipe.

just buy a stock pipe and swap that in for inspections. the high flow cats alot of the time wont pass smog and if they do, whose to say they will after 10 or 20 thousand miles later. just buy a stock one and keep it in a corner of the garage for the once a year smog check

What about the tune, can you change it at all? Perhaps that would help.
Sure if you got an SCT Xcal2 or the like and had a tune specifically for passing emissions that would work and allow the parts you have. Just a thought.
