Check with your local paint shops and get price quotes.

It all depends on where you are and how much are you willing to spend. If you have fading areas, I suggest getting the whole car painted instead of trying to match your fading areas with your good areas. That way you know that all areas are new and matching (instead of new andold paint that is slowly fading like your bumper and tail lights). As far as price goes, you can get the ol' Earl Scheib$250 ambassador paint job and watch as it comes off like snow flakes, or you can pay1800-2500 and get a better than new paint jobwith a warranty.

better than new will cost more than 2k ... for like 5 or more, but a decent job can be had for 2k -3k... dont go macco, esp for a color change, makes sure you get a base / clear

+1 on not going to Maaco. I talked to a guy who used to work there and he said that they don't put any care into the cars. They let them dry for half the time they are supposed to and they skimp on clear coats. A buddy of mine got his Bronco's door fixed there and the paint started pealing 4 months after it got done. Now it has some spots that are purple cause they got the door from a purple F-150. Ever hear that saying... "Uh Oh Shouldn't Have Gone To Maaco!"

I got a quote for my car from 3 different places... to take out a ding in my rear fender and paint the whole car stock it was between 2200-2900 from the 3 places. It also depends on where you live.

I agree that it depends on where you live. I got my car painted while in El Paso by an independent shop recommended by my insurance company. The insurance company paid 2500 and I got a nationwide warranty to boot.

If you live in an area where there is alot of wind and sand (like El Paso), your insurance company may pay for you to get a new paint job. Check into it.....I did .
