quad shock?????

Default quad shock?????

can somebody send me a pic to point me in the right direction of were the quad shocks are located on an 03 gt. im getting ready to put a pair of weld wheels on with 12 inch tires and ive been told that they will rub if i dont remove the quad shock from both sides of the rear end.... thanks

just get a set of heavy duty lowers and toss the quads, but if I remember correctly, as I've chucked mine awhile ago,they are from chassis(pointing towards the front) to the rear axle.

remove the rear tire, there are 2 shocks on the rear. The quads are the smaller shocks that are NOT vertically oriented (more horizontal).

The quads are generally useless, but ONLY if you have done control arms. If you remove them and you start getting wheel hop though you still need them.

its pretty easy to spot mine on my bullitt. look behind the wheels torwads the rear of the car.

+1 If you still have the stock control arms you'll most likely get some pretty bad wheel hop.

The part the guy is unbolting in the pic is the quadshock. As the others have said, it's the more horizontal shock.

sometimes if you dont want to remove them you can just flip them and gain almost another inch of clearance

i installed tubular aftermarket upper and lower control arms on my 97 GT and i still needed the quad shocks for sure.
