With a TKO yes, a stock trans no. It is still a PITA though.

Clutch install before LT's FTW.

Haha, +1!! I think you only have to take off the passenger side header. Good luck...

*Edit - While you're there make sure you replace the throwout bearing, rear main seal, and the pilot bearing. Do it all at once and save you a headache down the road.

MAC is the only longtubes I can think of that allows you to drop the tranny with the headers still on.

HAHA as long as the top starter bolt was not put back in!

Be prepared to do a lot of muscling the trans around to squeeze it between them. Deffinatly helps if there are two or three people around.

YOu'll have to drop the K member...

You can get the transmission out.. but you'll never get the clutch and transmission back in..

Just drop the K member from the start, it will save you alot of time

I never did see what the big problem is with this top starter bolt. I can drop the starter in under 5 min and I always put the top bolt back in. Its not like its that damn power steering bolt.

I dropped my tranny a few months back with a buddy to help. It wasn't that hard to get out with just 2 people getting it back in was a bit harder. But it can be done in a few hours.

+1! I don't know what everyone's problem with the top bolt is. I keep telling people to get a long extension and go through the front. I don't know why no one listens...

It's not hard to do as long as you have the right tools. I can get the pump off and back on in 10 minutes.
