PI swap done....clicking noise tho...help...*vid*
ok so we go to start up and there is this clicking noise..increases when rpms go up. when the idle is low, the sound slows a bunch and isnt that bad, although clicking is still their. Now i have a vid i will post tommorw. Some things are when i can hold the idle at 900-1200 she sounds good other than clickning...sounds like its timed ok, idle sounds like i was told it would. There is no leaks or ne thing. I know every 1 might 1st say well its the valves and rockers ect. but it seems like its timed ok and i did hand crank it and it was fine. Is there any way that the valvecovers can be in the way, lets say if it was to tight or even shifted a little ( not perfictly center). any ideas or insight?

first, determine exactly where the noise is comming from using a screwdriver or one of those spiffy sound finding tools (looks like what doctors have to hear your heart and lungs).

Valve covers aren't in the way. The heads were used right? Did you look over the cam lobes carefully for any signs of peeling or pitting? Just because it's timed right doesn't mean it can't be the valves! They could be worn.

It sounds like right in the miiddle....we had 2 ppl hold the valver covers and only felt vibration, both said sounds like derad center of engine. At higher RPMS the click dosnt go away, just gets worse.
The heads are used, its from an 04 and had 15k miles on it, it looked good, nothin seemed wrong and the cams are new as well
