Dealers love rapin' ppl to set the PCM w/ new keys keys[:@]. Anyone know of a good shop in the San Diego Are that can do this?

I removed my tune (chip) and my car almost passed (failed on technicality...should pass tomorrow). It was not the egr (tested the unit per Haynes Manual). When I smogged the car after taking out the chip it passed (just bearly). Failed because the ECU didn't register a "history" (had to unhook battery to take chip out). Should pass tomorrow.

Next week....chip goes back in.

I swap ecu's in my car and no problem with PATS .Maybe im special.

I just read that your problem may be fixed by a new egr valve o2 sensorsand high octane gas.There is alwaysTHE OTHER WAY OF PASSING.Just a thought good luck

The PAT system didnt act up for me with the swap either, there is a module under the dash its programmed to not the PCM (according to ford)
