Default Solid engine mount guys..

I just ordered some solid engine mounts, poly tranny mount and some subframe connectors. I'm doing some high milage maintenance so I figured I might as well get those things taken care of as well. I was just lookin to hear what people who run the solid engine mounts AND LIKE THEM have to say about them. I know my cars going to vibrate and blah and so on... whatever. But the fact is that I'm driving a muscle car. If I wanted to drive a car that rode smooth I'd get myself a Lincoln Towncar. Also.. If I had some hot chick in the pass. seat I think she'd be more likely turned on(not saying I need the help) by the feel of the power rather than smoothness of the drivetrain. Sorry but I dont think "OMG your V8 is sooo smooth... DO ME NOW!" would ever come out of a chicks mouth. Thanks for the input fellas.

Hope you are ready to go thru the car once a month and tighten loose bolts. Solid mounts are race parts only not DD. I have poly urethane mounts and have had to tighten some loose bolts. My buddy has solid on the motor and tranny and its very uncomfortable to drive. Cant use the mirrors, the steering wheel shakes alot, the seats vibrate loose they are just more of a pain then they are worth.

WHY would you do this? You have absolutly no need for this, and it isn't going to give you any worthwhile gain.

+1 you have no benefit for solid motor mounts, just gonna cause u more work. As far as making the ride rough to make passengers THINK its some kind of race car, why don't you save up and get an actual power adder i think theyll be more impressed being thrown back in the seat every gear than an uncomfortable vibration that most people will think is just something broken in the first place.

In my opinoin solid mounts suck, i baught my car with them and found out that the driver side mount actually sheared off because there wasn't enough movement. I dont know if this was just my case but I will never buy them again or own a car with them.
