Default Mach 1 cams

I have a 96 gt and I did a 4v swap so I have a 97 cobra engine. I was on ebay and I found some 4v cams from a mach 1 for $60 so I bought them. Should I use these cams or my current 4v cams? I have been thinking of porting and polishing my heads soon anyway and I obviously can not afford 1500 for just new cams lol.

The mach 1 cams won't give you any additional power over what you already have. They are setup to give a little more low end torque than the Cobra cams IIRC. Cam installs on a 4 valve are a b@tch! If you pay someone to do it, it will cost way more than its worth to use those cams.

The Mach cams will give you moretorque down low. They are definetaly better than the ones you have. I would change them. It's one of the thingsthat help put Machs a tiny bit ahead of the 01 SVTs.

If you can do them yourself then change them. Otherwise, I agree with tim2002gt above, paying for those to be installed would be a waste. Save up for better cams or get gears.

Mach cams are just cobra intake cams and navigator exhaust cams
