rev hang fix on 97?

this looks like its easy to do but before I try it... I have a 97 and this says 99 to 04. Can you not do this on a 97? If not then how can I fix the rev hang cause its as anoying as hell.

It'll work for all 96-04 4.6's. I had this done for a while and put it back to normal after I got cams. Doesn't work too good if you have cams. Plus, it'll richen up your a/f ratio at idle.
