Default fuel pump

Just a quick question, I have read so much about people using SVT focus fuel pumps. Is that like a fuel pump from a Ford SVT Focus?

haha, thats what I keep reading! What makes the Focus fuel pump better, I see people using it for supercharged applications, but its a Focus.... why wouldn't Ford put a good enough fuel pump on a mustang? Will someone explain to me why people use these SVT focus pumps?

From what I heard Ford originally planned on the SVT focus being a turbo car. The pump flows more than a stock mustang GT pump and costs less than 1/2.

The Focus pump just flows more fuel than the stock Mustang GT pump. I think this is the correct flow rates of both...

SVT Focus pump pushes 255 liters/hour

Stock GT pump pushes 110 liters/hour

thanks guys, so does having a SVT focus pump kill gas mileage? Or is that just what its capable of doing? People with superchargers need more fuel so they get these so they don't lean out, is that correct?

You won't lose any mileage with the focus pump.

Yeah that is correct about the supercharged cars. Nitrous and turbo cars as well.

My fuel pump went out back in August and I replaced it with an SVT Focus pump. I got it for like $75 lightly used. I have considered running a small shot of nitrous in the future so that is just something I won't have to worry about later.
