Alright, another issue I was just addressed with. I am going with Steeda aluminum non adjustalbe uppers/lowers. A few guys on MD told me to get rid of my quad shocks....is this true?
you can take them off or leave them, it won't matter. I took mine off. Why did you get non adjustable uppers?

On the street, you'd hafta be doing some pretty nasty launches to do the same type of damage you'd do on a prepped track

I have a video of me raping (I mean raping) and 03 Cobra out the hole on the street. Maybe it's because I went out on slicks. I'm all about the hole shot, if you can't get me out the hole you probably won't run me down.

I went with non adjustables because money issues and i really just got control arms to help the wheel hop. I really dont get terrible traction. The price difference in adjustable/non adjustable is rediculous.

Did you weld your torque boxes? And did you remove your quad shocks? UPR uppers and lowers you have?

yeah I did the torque boxes and axle tubes, I did ditch the quads once I put on the UPR's. I have UPR solid lowers and UPR double adjustable uppers with my pinion angle set at -2.5*

Sounds like you have a pretty nice setup. So, since im doing some steeda non adjustable aluminum uppers/lowers, the car never sees track time, but boost on the street, would you weld the torque boxes? how about removing the quads? Sorry to keep asking but whenever i make up my mind somebody from here or another forum changes my mind. Some say not to mess with the torque boxes until something happens. And some say to do them right away. Same with the quads. Some say it really doesn't matter. Some say to definately take them out. [&:]

If you have a buddy that welds or can afford it get them welded, do it... it can't hurt. Who knows you may never need to have them welded but like I said it can't hurt. I ripped mine more than once. As for the quad shocks must people say to pull them off when you get aftermarket control arms because they aren't needed and weight a couple pounds a piece. Either way I wouldn't loose any sleep over any of it. Now I have a question for you! I remember a week or 2 ago you were asking about cams and I suggested Tims custom cams. I remember you said on MPH (I believe) that he didn't do custom NPI cams. Is he making them for you or are you going PI?

Thanks for all the help man, i think i might just do everything while putting the control arms on. As to the cams, i talked to Tim and they DO make custom non pi grinds. $599, $196 for springs. I plan to be ordering some shortly.
