Default Changing Motor Mounts

My buddies looking to buy a 98 gt but it needs motor mounts. I haven't had the chance to do them yet so what are we looking at. Jack the motor up undo and replace and set the motor b ack down? How far would i have to jack the motor up and if theres anything you guys could let me know about changing them it'd be a great help.

You have to jack the motor up high enough to get the motor mount studs out of the k member. Probably 2.5-3 inches. An engine hoist will make it easy to get up. Getting at the mountingbolts can be a pain in the *** though. Id recommend the poly motor mounts, I like mine. Much less engine twisting and very little nvh.

Just remove the starter so you can get to the bolts on the passenger side and you may want to take the steering shaft loose as well. Then just take the two motor mount nuts off and jack the motor up.
