Default piston help

i will be rebuilding me engine this winter and im going to go with all forged internals. i plan on supercharging (centrifical probably vortech) and running nitrous too but i dont plan on doin those until later when i have more money so for now it will be N/A. how deep of a dished piston should i get that will still be deep enough for when i do go to superchargeit and run nitrous but would still have high enough compression on a N/A motor?

i also plan on porting and polishing the heads and possibly bigger valves and 75mm polished tb.

If you go with a -15cc dish Diamond piston it'll put your compression ratio at 9.4. You won't be able to run much more than 12 lbs of boost without race gas but you can spray it with nitrous. My setup is -15cc dish Diamond pistons, Procharger with a 3.2 pulley making 11 lbs of boost, NX nitrous system with a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous running a 75 shot. This combo put 506 hp to the wheels.

Yep, I agree. Anything in the 15-19cc area is what you should be aiming for. Diamons makes a 15 and 19cc, CP makes a 17cc and Manley makes an 18cc.

I've heard a lot of good things about Probe. I think you'll be ok going with it.

They are certainly not high end stuff but as long as they are not pushed hard, they should be ok.
