im pretty sure the chip dosnt come with a tune, i think u have to get it tuned but that chip will deffinatly hold more then one tune. i have the diablo one also and it holds 4 tunes i think? anyway, my tuner put a switch in my car and i have a 93 tune, a nitrous tune and a stock tune. i change them witht the flip of a switch, but i would go with sct cause not many tuners tune diablo

The chip is a great way to go. If you need more than one tune you don't have to spend 10 mins swaping the tunes like with the handheld. You just simply flip the switch. I have a diablo revolutions chip with two tunes, one for the blower only and the other for the blower and nitrous. I suggest you get a blank chip and have a tuner tune your car on a dyno. The chip can be retuned just like the handheld. All they have to do is erase the old tune and put the new one in. I wouldn't trust a canned tune to be accurate.

thats the one I have. Its awesome. just take it to a dyno shop and theyll dyno tune your car. Look at my crap below and the chip maxed my power out. I also have the switch I only use 2 tunes. good up to 900rwhp

For small simple bolt-ons like pulleys, cai and exhaust a canned tune is fine. It's when you get into LT headers, MAF upgrade, Cams or any bolt on in FI. Then you would run right to the dyno tune shop! You'll be fine with a canned tune for what you want. Most mustangs run extremely close when you have the same mods, so for small stuff like listed above, the tuner companies have a darn good idea whats good for your car.

i bought my xcal2 from AM and their tune that came on it was ok, i detonated a little and changed the timing myself. on a chip you could not do that. I would say get the chip and take it to get dyno tuned. i will be taking my xcal2 soon

I also bought my XCal II from AM and got two tunes from them, a 91 and a 93 octane tune. The 91 seemed to run strong, but the 93 tune didn't seem to make my car run any stronger than the 91 tune.

As stated above, the canned tune should be alright until you do some bigger mods.
